  • Nora and Scott- Engaged!

    Nora & Scott,

Thank you so much! Saturday night was so wonderful.

I really enjoyed getting to know you both better. I sure hope Scott didn’t take offense to any of my gabs back at him! I can already tell- what a wonderful marriage you both are going to have. It reminds me a lot my marriage… lots of laughter- lots of repeating requests (to take the garbage out)- and lots of love!

My family is extremely grateful for last night…. they had the time of their lives. Rich and zane were in awe watching the puck fly through the air so fast! Zada yelled many times “Don’t hit” when she saw the hockey players duking it out… it was a riot hearing her yell that out. Zane talked about it all week!

Words alone can not express my gratitude for the wonderful time we had last night. It was a much needed escape from reality for us. It makes my heart swelll with love to see my family all together having fun. Thank you for that!

Your engagement session will surely be something I will never forget…. It was hard to hold back my huge smile on my face when we walked back into the ice area…. but I think Scott had the biggest grin of all!

  • Carmen and Shaun- Married!

I’m a little behind (again) on blogging…. some days I have no idea where my time goes!  I will be updating it as the week goes on….. there are several weddings to show off- tons of engagement & portrait sessions to post about!

Carmen and Shaun had a very beautiful wedding in ventura last month- the same place Rich and I were married at over 10 years ago!

She made her own veil (AMAZING!!!!!) with lace from her sisters wedding dress.

Take a peek at some of my favorite images from their wedding day!

It was a beautiful day full of amazing moments and laughter!  Stephanie’s dress was amazing!

  • Bernadette & Jeremy- Married!

What a perfect weekend for a wedding at the Santa Barbara Zoo!  They have recently remodeled the top hill, with a full service catering area, bridal suite and restrooms!  The zoo did a great job!

Bernadette and Jeremy had an amazing day!  Their wedding party, family and friends were so much fun to be around! Their joy of life and love for each other is infectious!

They also had a A+ team of vendors….. from camarillo too!

Cari Izaguirre from www.aoeventplanning.com made sure all the details ran smoothly!

Rev John Martin (he married Rich and I 10 years ago!) made the marriage official! www.revjohnmartin.com

Bernadette & Jeremy- I have enjoyed getting to know you guys over the last year.  I can’t wait for you to get back home to see your images!  They will be online at pictage.com by Thursday!

  • I’m Lagging on the Blog

    Lagging on the Blog….

Sorry guys! It’s been so busy here…. I have several events (engagements and weddings) that I need to post about on the blog.  I also have an update for the website to be released in a few weeks.

In the meantime, enjoy the new image hanging on the wall in my home…. Grandma Esther (Zada’s name sake) always gave this look…. It’s only fitting she can do it too!  We see it way to much from her.  She is very expressive in her eyes and her voice (lucky us!)

Add me as your friend on facebook, as I try to update on there too!

  • Blacks Beach San Diego

Yep… you guessed it…. if your in San Diego and doing nude art portrait study… where do you take your model…. you guessed it!  Blacks Beach!

I am so excited about some new tricks I have learned.  It’s amazing how much lighting info there is and how easily you forget when you don’t use it every day.  It’s like being back at Art Center again 15 years ago.  It’s also nice to know, that its like when you fall off the bike…. you get up and go again with out any problems!  It”s just second nature!

My son is having the time of his life with grandma and grandpa (and auntie caroline and chad!)  so far (from the 4 words he has said to me over the phone this entire week) he has done Legoland, Balboa Park, the beach (with endless digs in the sand to camarillo (instead of digging to china…. perhaps he is telling us something!)  I hope he has some engery for cubscout camp this weekend!

It’s the first time zane has been sent away on vacation to his Grandparents, with out his parents around at all.  From the sounds of it, all three of them are enjoying the special time they are having with one another.  He is growing up so fast….. quite the young, smart, little man he is becoming.

Zada…. well she has been held captive at the “sisters” place all week.  She love’s it there.  Our neighbors have a awesome day care in their home, and she has been going there a few days each week for the last year.  She has grown so much.  The sisters have such a wonderful, educational and loving environment for her and the other kidos there.  Its a long week for her, but Zada and Daddy are doing great without mom and Brother. Although Rich says she has asked for me (several times) every day since I left for school.

I finish up on Friday afternoon, when I return I am on vacation with my family.  I can’t wait!
