Whoooo Hoooo!

WPPI Rocked!

I am back, safe and sound from Vegas…. nothing like a week with 10,000 of my closest photographer friends. www.wppionline.com  there was over $150,000 SF of tradeshow….. I was a kid in a candy store!

I am so excited about the new products i will be offering this year in 2009.

Finao- High end albums and preview boxes.  www.finao.com I fell in love with them a few years ago, but don’t like to rock the boat on my albums. Their custom made preview boxes and their “shower glass” door custom wedding album are just to die for! All top of the line materials, hand made high end albums, that I know my clients will LOVE!!!!  I can’t wait for my studio samples to arrive!  And the best news of all… I will include them as an option to all my clients at no additional charge from the Leather Craftsmen pricing.  Minor upgrade costs for the two tone albums and glass covers will apply. Pricing to come later this month.

Modern Books- small 5×5 and 7×7 replicas of your bridal album for the parents.  These albums are clones of the brides album, but not hard bound like Leather Craftsmen or Fiano albums.  This is a great affordable option for your parents without investing $2k on another album. Pricing to come on these in the next month.

A New website….. YES!!!! I am so excited!  Hopefully it will be LIVE in about 4-6 weeks!

It was great to see lots of my friends and colleagues who have taught me so much over the years. I always leave vegas every year inspired to think outside the box and push my photography to another level.  Don’t be surprised to see me pull out the Flash gun this year!

I just loved being up close and learning from my favorite photographers…. Yervant, Jerry Ghionis, Melissa Messina, Bambi Cantrell, Joe Buissink, Ryan Schembri, Matthe Jordan Smith… If you don’t know these masters…. do a quick google… you will be blown away!

Gary Fong and I talked about our plans for rabbit farms again…. Pictage entertained their partners at Studio 54… it was so much fun…. thanks pictage! and Nikon had a private concert from Blues Traveler band….. holy cow!  What fun we had!  What more could you ask for.  And I must say….. after ten years of WPPI, I am so happy that they moved to MGM…. so much nicer than Bally’s!

Gotta love the hooters view!  I remember staying there tons of times when I was a flight attendant!  but it wasn’t hooters then…. San Remo hotel…. hopefully they fixed their horrid ventilation system!

I am off spending time with my hubby and kids, washing the nasty casino cig smoke smell out of my clothes and catching up on my sleep.

I will be back in the studio on Monday!

Ventura County Star that is….. rumor has it, Mystique Studio will be featured in it on Sunday Feb 22nd…. Their staff photographer came by this week and took a few fun photos of us!

www.cippa.org ROCKS!!!!!!  it’s not confirmed but I think CIPPA has at least 5-6 (if not more!!!!) of the top 10 photographers in CALIF!!!!!!!!!! CIPPA members did amazing at the print comp… I am so honored to be president of such an amazing talented, compassionate, and fun group of professional photographers~

I have big plans this year to have a mentor for Print Comp… to help me take my images into the next level….. It’s something I have put off.  I am so inspired by my colleagues! I have done better and better each year. 

I am very proud of my two images receiving merit awards.

I am heading down early Sunday for the Allifilate meeting and Monday’s board meeting,

On wednesday when I am driving back up, I am stopping by pictage to check things and get more info on some new stuff they have going on.

Its going to be a busy month….  Feb 15-18 is WPPI www.wppionline.com which I am always excited about going to….. nothing like refueling the mind before wedding season starts!

Then the PPC (www.prophotoca.com ) convention in March and then it’s wedding season Baby!

I also have some other exciting news to share about the business…… as things get confirmed I will be sharing them!

I can truly appreciate this… after doing many clay-mation PSA’s in school, I know this 3 minute video took forever!  Amazing!

Now where is the modeling clay laying around here… I have some time to kill to work my my sequel…. curb your dog 2
